screen prints, all work has been designed and made around an original painting, print has done by ‘hand cut’ stencil work and screen printed with my own mixed pigments…. ooooo

Hi all the sun has been shining soooo much that even the Empty Shop studio windows have been open its so freaky normally you have to put layers and heaters on. Anyway all the nice weather means Caroline can do messy work and it drys in no time this month i have been working on the newspapers again really like using and recycling them also you can get a metro for free or pick up an I for 20p bargain. So Looks like this march has been a creative period so let just hope it last here is a taste what i been doing in the studio…

UuuFfffff, well where to start? It’s February and I ain’t as good at remembering things lately maybe it’s the thought of my little girl Maya is going to be 5 on Sunday 26th Feb where dose the time go?

In late October I arranged with Empty Shop for a solo exhibition. Empty Shop are an interdependent non- profit organisation who provide a platform for all artist and opportunity’s to show their work or use their awesome gallery space. Empty Shop also have 10 artist studio spaces that I have been apart of for a year as a studio member this allows the gallery space to be used quit frequently on a work basis or exhibition’s.

Is an idea that started out years ago as an collaborated installation and has developed and progress everything that you see is my own design and has been hand made and produced with TLC. This whole installation was produced from scratch under a ultra Violette light to create a fantasy wonderland feel as like most of my work is fused with fluorescent mediums.
OVERALL THIS EXHIBITION TOOK 6 WEEKS TO PRODUCE & TOOK THREE DAYS TEN TILL TEN ON LADDERS TO PUT UP, WAS OPEN TO PUBLIC OVER THREE DAYS 18TH 19TH 20TH NOVEMBER & ALL TOGETHER I HAD 400 PEOPLE THROUGH THE DOOR AND EVEN SOLD SOME OF MY WORK. IT WAS A TRULY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AND WOULD LIKE TO THANK EMPTY SHOP AND ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WAS INVOLVED & ALL THOSE WHO HELPED. THANK YOU GUYS

MY FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION ITS GOING TO BE SOMETHING SPECIAL!!! its on 18th 19th & 20th of November 2011 at Empty Shop 35c from 6 until 9 Framwellgate Bridge Durham City DH1 4SJ . This exhibition is to celebrate a successful full year as a artist in empty shop studios … The exhibition is called (Hung up by String) Installation themed as a natural delicacy or other words wonderland under ultraviolet lights this idea started about 10 years ago as a collaborative piece and developed since then.
The installation itself includes textile art, wired sculptures, decorations & objects all made from scratch & unwanted objects i have redesigned!!! For all those people who know most of my work is fluorescent and has been made by TLC! All is welcome to drop by on ether dates to have a chat and see some of my recent work in a new environment at empty shops HQ fab work space/ gallery.

(THE QUEEN & I REPRINTING NEWSPAPER 2011) Sorry guys Its been sssssoooooooo long since I been on here if I'd owned a telly or internet i be updating more for sure... I have been busy in the studio collecting, photographing, mixing, Printing & painting taking over the gallery space at Empty Shop whist my space up stair is getting fixed. The space is great & its allowed me to print some lengths & even experiment and expand and now i believe have a great idea for a exhibition so i am going to work on it .....Enjoy !
